Gadgets have restricted a child's imagination- AWARD WINNING SPEECH

Gadgets have restricted a child's imagination

My parents keep telling me those were the days and I wonder what would it be like to live without a gadget in those days!

We live in a gadget-driven world, and honestly, they have become a very important part of our daily lives, especially during this pandemic. This digitalization has benefited us in many ways but has also negatively impacted us, especially young students and children. Kids nowadays are solely dependent on gadgets too for entertainment and are gradually getting addicted to these devices.

Gadgets are stealing our leisure time by offering multiple sources of entertainment.

Children are not challenged to think critically or expand their thoughts. Children should explore outdoor games and let their imagination run wild in storybooks. If children don’t use their imagination and instead, they just look into their devices, they will never be able to come up with any advanced inventions in the future.

I mean, do you remember the time when we used to gather lots of toys to create a magical wonderland! Or when we became explorers or astronauts using our imagination. We were actually able to feel the thrill and excitement! But now we just get a phone, install a game, and play. Yes, that’s all! No fun no excitement...no... nothing. Nowadays children don’t use their creative minds at all! We can’t let a small tech device take over our beautiful childhood and future!

“Best gadget is the human brain, so let’s use it more and refrain from using gadgets!”

Thank you!
